He's equally teasing, only mock hurt. "Oh, sure, I get it. I mean, it was only the first time we'd hooked up in like, ten years, but I was totally distracted too."

"I mean, drugs and breakups are distracting enough on their own, put them together...." He trails off with a grin, shifting up to kiss Leo lightly. "Nah, you were good. Worth waiting ten years for, even."

[busybean]

Leo smiles a little lopsidedly at him, stroking the side of his face. "C'mon, baby," he murmurs, "I'm still gunning for cartoons."

"M'not trying to stop you." But he is going to kiss him again, slow and lingering, before resettling.

[busybean]

He beams softly at that, before he turns his head to lazily watch the television, and his hands never quite stop stroking the skin of Nate's back.

As long as Leo keeps touching him, Nate doesn't seem to have any complaints about this plan. He's not tired, but he'll curl up on him for as long as Leo wants to stay, spacing out comfortably until he starts to get tired unless he says something.

It takes a while, and it's a very slow descent for Leo at least, but when he feels it fading he'll idly begin to drag his fingers up and down Nate's back again. "Bed's really close, you know," he whispers.

"Yeah, but the couch is right here," he mumbles, but he'll shift a little, leaning up to kiss Leo quickly. "You want to go to bed, baby?"

[busybean]

"I don't think sleeping here is gonna be very comfortable," he says, smiling lopsidedly at him.

[soicantlose]

"I guesssss." He makes a little face, playful, before shifting to climb off of the couch, offering Leo a hand once he's standing. "Come on, then."

[busybean]

Leo stands like his body is heavy, throwing an arm around Nate's shoulders and sagging melodramatically against him. "I'm gonna sleep... so fucking well."

[soicantlose]

"Good. You kinda need it," Nate points out, curling an arm around Leo's waist and trying to lead him towards the bedroom.

[busybean]

"I need it?" Leo drags his feet playfully. "You're the one who's been through all the shit today."

[soicantlose]

"You've also been through that shit," Nate points out, coming to a stop when Leo resists and turning into him instead. "And you haven't been sleeping right for like a week."

[busybean]

He'll nudge Nate along when he begins to stop, just trying to indicate that he was playing. "Yeah, but that's what the adderall was for," he says, exhaling a laugh.

He rolls his eyes, nudging Leo gently in the side before moving to tug him down the hall again. "No, that's what sleep is for."

[busybean]

"Party pooper," he says fondly, clearly not meaning it. He drops down onto the bed when he makes it into his room, expression content. "I'm not setting an alarm tomorrow," he declares.

[soicantlose]

"Good idea." He climbs into bed on the other side, immediately trying to pull Leo in closer, smothering a little yawn. "Get some rest. Then I think you should just spend tomorrow doing nothing."

[busybean]

"Okay," he says lightly, then hesitantly adds: "But let me know if you go see Kat?"

[soicantlose]

"I will," he answers without hesitation. "Probably not that soon, though. I think giving her some time might be good?"

[busybean]

Leo gives him a curious look, unable to keep from pointing out: "She WAS ready to fight for you."

[soicantlose]

"I guess so. It's weird. Kinda wish I could just ask what's different without sounding crazy," he admits, giving Leo a little smile.

[busybean]

"Yeah. I kinda wish, too? Just-" He pauses, then admits- "Kind of a dumb thing to say, I guess. It's none of my business."

[soicantlose]

"I mean, it kinda is. Since you're stuck with me and all," he adds, a little bit teasing, leaning in to press a quick kiss against Leo's mouth.

Leo rolls his eyes, but it's all performative. "Uh huh. Just wait 'till we hop to a timeline where we're exes."
